Harlequin Romance Covers Major Arcana

The topic for the fall equinox blog hop is “Harlequin Romance Tarot” or, for those in the UK, “Mills & Boon Tarot.” Jay Cassels of Sacred Healing and I co-wrangled this hop. My contribution to the world of tarot is a set of Major Arcana cards compiled from vintage Harlequin Romance novel covers. Don’t knock it till you try it! Question: “How can we use the Harlequin Presents Tarot?”

Answer: Hermit/The Light Within, Star/A Star Looks Down, and Chariot/His Chariot Awaits

The Harlequin Presents Tarot reminds us in this simple spread that tarot readings are a combination of the light within, the Hermit, and the light above, in this case the star that looks down. When we are willing to follow our own guidance and willingness to forge our own trail, heading to the snow topped peaks, the reciprocal light shines down, and we connect with our guides. Although at first the way looks difficult and rocky, this blend of inner and outer guidance results in the smooth ride and high performance of the glowing white chariot, and we arrive at our destination in style.

  1. This really takes me back, browsing the aisles of the book store, trying to decide and remember which of them I hadn’t read yet. Misspent youth reading Mills and Boon, it is tempting to buy or go charity shopping to find one.

    • I don’t know why, but it’s fun to think of you browsing for romance books. I tried them out, but never got into them that much. If anything, doing this hop has kindled an interest.

  2. Oh, what memories you two bring back to me! With Jay, I might have to browse the charity shops looking for some old M&B to brighten my day! Hope you enjoy my little teaser ๐Ÿ˜‰
