Tarot and the Ten Sephiroth
By exploring the qabalistic creation myth, we’ll see where the tarot fits into that symbolism. Then we’ll drill down to just the pips or numbered cards. We’ll learn various ways to understand the suit cards through qabalistic symbolism. Then we’ll do some practice spreads to put our new found knowledge to work. This video is a recording of an online workshop. View on YouTube to get the accompanying handouts.
The Magical Images of the Ten Sephiroth
A mighty king sitting on a sapphire throne. A warrior queen standing in a red chariot. A golden-haired child with arms upraised. These are some of the magical images of the Tree of Life. What do these mysterious images have to say? Adepts use them in meditation to activate emotional and intuitive responses or explore the psychic realms. In this hands-on workshop, we’ll learn the ten magical images, how to connect with them, ways to work with them, and what they have to teach us about the tarot’s Minor Arcana. Handouts are linked in the video description on YouTube.
Tarot Pathworking on the Tree of Life
Learning the sephiroth prepares you for the process of pathworking, which is what we’ll be doing over the course of this year-long program! If you’d like to get your bearings as to what this is all about, this video offers a overview.
Although the term “pathworking” is sometimes used to describe any type of guided meditation, it derives from a very specific esoteric practice. Previously we discussed the ten sephiroth of the Tree of Life and the magical images that are assigned to them. Besides these ten circles on the Tree, there are twenty-two lines, or paths, that connect the circles to each other. Each path relates to a Hebrew letter, an astrological correspondence, and to one of the Major Arcana tarot cards. Tarot pathworking is a standardized meditation process for exploring these twenty-two paths via their esoteric symbolism.
In this video tutorial, we’ll learn the basic correspondences of these paths and discover their magical images. Then we’ll practice a variety of ways to explore these paths through tarot spreads and meditation.
Pathworking on the Tree of Life is not only balancing and healing, but also one of the most reliable and easy-to-follow methods of self-initiation. Through a dedicated practice of tarot pathworking, you can initiate yourself into progressively higher levels of personal understanding and spiritual connection.
