Denver
Tarot Geeks is an advanced group of tarot readers dedicated to the study of
the esoteric and historical aspects of tarot and the application of this
knowledge for personal and spiritual growth. We meet the 1st and 3rd Sundays of
the month from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. in the historic Thomas Ferril House near 22nd
and Downing.
We explore the relationship between tarot and kabbalah, astrology, numerology,
alchemy, neo-Platonism, mythology and other philosophies that were prevalent
during the time the cards originated in fourteenth to fifteenth century Europe
and which subsequently influenced the development of the esoteric tarot deck in
the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries.
Our meetings will consist of sharing knowledge through presentations and
discussions; gaining insight through readings, meditation and exercises; and
practicing methods for applying what we learn to our lives.
This group is designed for people who, like me, find intense and challenging
studying to be fun! Come to share your knowledge and learn from others. In order
to get the most out of the advanced techniques presented in this group, it is
highly recommended that members have at least a basic knowledge of tarot prior
to joining this group.
Not an advanced reader? Check out the Denver
Tarot Meetup Group. It's for readers of all levels and the tarot curious and
meets monthly.
